RIP Jerry, such a familiar face here on the forum, will be sad not to be able to read his posts going forward.

It would be nice to have a gone home section on the forum for members that have passed with a bio and section where people could say a few words about them.

I know its a lot of work, but just a thought.
Regards, Craig

Back in the old forum days I always enjoyed his contributions. He also knew a lot about the Southern California music scene of yesterday and all the steel players. I’ll miss him. RIP Jerry. Condolences to his close friends and family.

Craig — Re: GONE HOME section - anyone may post an obituary to support a post. I agree it’s a wonderful place to share memories!

I got to meet Jerry shortly after I joined the forum about 10 years ago. I saw that he was living in Virginia Beach and contacted him before one of my visits to my sister in that area. He invited me out to a monthly truck stop restaurant gig he was playing in Portsmouth at the time. He and his lovely wife were gracious and inviting and I had a great time. He was playing guitar for that gig and not steel but I seem to recall that his guitar had a B-bender. He made me feel like a welcome member of the community even though I could barely hold a bar at that point. Thank you Jerry, and rest in peace.
