Boss Katana Amps
I been looking at the Boss Katkana amps after a friend recommended to me. Interested to hear any comments pro or con.
The Generation 3 looks like a good choice but would like to hear from some who owns one.
I appreciate any comments.
thanks

I use a Katana 100w at smaller gigs and practice. I play Zane Beck’s E9/6th 12 string tuning. I add a Boss GE-7 EQ pedal. This addition brought out the lows and add more punch. I really like this little amp.
GE-7 was a game changer for me

Like Dan said it works well with a EQ pedal added. I have the older Katana 100 and it's a decent universal amp for guitar and steel. I expect the Gen 3 to be even better. I control my setting using the Katana Librarian app and my cell phone. I don't know how the new amp is setup for controlling.

Re: Boss Katana Amps
The price is right. I rented a Gen 2 for a month and found the sound/tome adequate, but bland. It was solid enough, didn't weigh too much, and seems more than fine for a live/band amp. I'm not sure it's much use for commercial recording, but no reason it won't work for making demos. Based on my short experience (Katana, JC 120, Mesa F50) I have to agree with the other posters: all amps improve for PSG with an EQ pedal.

I just received a Katana 100 Gen3 this past week. Only have messed with it a little, but thus far I am rather impressed with the sound.

I had a friend Lyle Bradford R.I.P…..had a couple of these amps and he used some kind of software where he tweaked the settings and I believe the software had affects…..Best sound I had ever heard

Re: Boss Katana Amps
I went over to my friend's house who has two of the Gen 3 Katana 100 amps to hear how they sound.
I liked the sound of the two amps working together in stereo! Two amps is a little more that I want to carry but the one amp alone sounded
good too. I think it's a good choice.
Dan I remember Lyle. He sent me some players gloves back when I had a finger injury and having difficult time playing my 6 string guitar.
Didn't know him personally but I appreciated his concern and help with the gloves.
