Let me summarize this thread. Pirate Ship users are not having problems. Users who go directly to USPS or UPS are having problems and paying higher shipping costs. On the anecdotal side of things, over the course of one year, I have shipped one guitar, one amp, and about 6 pedal-sized items; all through Pirate Ship, with zero problems and about half the cost of retail shipping.

I shipped and received guitars and amps for years from here in Kauai, the best service and prices are USPS Ground Advantage, FedEx and UPS add outrageous extra for Alaska and Hawaii.. :eek:
