Re: Emmons Volume pedal POT Replacement
The Dunlop 470K ohm pots seem to be the only ones around that fit the needs of steel guitar volume pedals.

Thanks, I clicked on the link you provided. Hopefully Tommy will reply with the Correct one to purchase and a little instruction on how to replace it since this will be my first time replacing one.Jerry Overstreet wrote: 9 Jan 2026 1:19 pm The Dunlop 470K ohm pots seem to be the only ones around that fit the needs of steel guitar volume pedals.

I'm sure Mr. Bradshaw will set you up with good instructions.

Besides the wiring, pay attention to how the string is wrapped around the pulley. If you have trouble, there are some pics of that here on the forum as well.
If you don't feel comfortable doing it, there may be somebody close to you that is familiar with the procedure that will do it for you.

ShowPro sells Clarostat pots for volume pedals https://www.showprosteelguitars.com/acc ... rsale.html. They're 500k ohm type "EJ" audio taper, you can probably find them from other sources too
