Steve Duncan

Post by Skip Edwards »

Steve Duncan, drummer extraordinaire, passed away a couple days ago.
He was the drummer in the Desert Rose Band, did some tours with Rick Nelson, and was an in-demand session player in LA.
We spent many years…close to 20…in the house band at the Palomino Club here in LA.
He’s going to be missed by many people who played with him, knew him and loved him.

He was the only drummer I knew who could play the Willie Cantu Buck beat. And when it came to shuffles he was the guy who always knew whether the stops had one bump, or two.

Sincere condolences to his family, and especially to his widow, Tracie Brumley.

Vaya con Dios, Stevie. Till we meet again.

I am very sad to hear this. We all loved playing with Steve.

Or get inside the mysterious mind of Charles A. Younger. Or is it Younga?

My sincere sympathy for the family and friends. Steve was well received here in the Branson area and loved by many. He will be missed.
