I did for a while. The extra weight wasn’t worth the difference, if there even was a difference .The Blue Marvel sounds great in them.

I did put a BW 1501 in a separate cab, and used it for a while..... I also didn't think it changed much. But later I made a deeper cabinet, and put a Weber 15" "Michigan" speaker in it. It was much lighter, and the speaker is rated for only 100 watts, so I think it was better matched for the older 80 watt NV 112. Then the amp got "scratchy", and i moved on to Quilter products.

I put a TT12 in mine. Didn't care for the stock Blue Marvel.
Carter D10 8p/7k, Dekley S10 3p/4k C6 setup, Regal RD40 Dobro, Recording King Professional Dobro, NV400, NV112, Ibanez Gio guitar, Epiphone SG Special (open G slide and regular G tuning guitar) .
Playing for 55 years and still counting.

Good choice...Black Widows in both of mine. If you play near the ear-splitting volume I usually do, you'd definitely hear the difference...lol! All my other amps and cabs have either JBL's or EV's. I like mixing them also...great sound at volume.
