Cody Johnson Honky Tonk Hardwood Floors tabs?

Post by Rhett Pike »

I am a newer steel player and I was curious if anyone could help me with tabs for Honky Tonk Hardwood Floors by Cody Johnson? Been struggling trying to figure it out

Rhett; to get more response to help; you need to be more specific like putting the song link up here and telling what "time reading" you are wanting to learn. Because there is no steel solo or intro and what is usually tabbed. So if you know the time the steel shows up on the recording you want help with; that's how you do it.

Timestamp what licks you're having trouble with. I did a video on Youtube for Dance Her Home if you're looking for more Cody stuff.

I am looking for the 2 licks in the chorus one at 0:55 and the other at 1:01. Thank you both for the responses and teaching me how to run the forum!

Forgive my elementary tab abilities. This is what I hear at 0:55

At 1:01 it's hard to tab out his syncopation at the start of the lick, but this gets you in the ballpark. He might be sliding down to that 9th fret instead of hitting the 11b on the 6th string. Not sure, but this is how I would do it.

1:01
