Hammin' It Up - Caleb Melo

Post by Caleb Melo »

Here's my cover of Merle Haggard's instrumental introduction song called "Hammin' It Up" written by Norman Hamlet and originally performed by The Strangers. The version you hear in the video was arranged and recorded completely by myself. Please leave some feedback on the video and let me know what you think! Hope you all enjoy!

You really sounded great on one of Norm's instrumentals Caleb. You have really got much better with time. Please do more for us.

love this song, played it in several bands as a theme song.
try adding string 1 to your grip on the verse, pretty sure it's in there.

Sure has a Junior Brown vibe to it- nice!

What kind of amp did use? Or did the steel go direct to the recording device?
