Met Tommy L. one time when we played for a Bar B Que picnic at the Dodger's training camp in Ft Pierce, Fl. I was proud to get his autograph.

Floyd Lowery. Tommy Lasorda loved country music and he would always come visit & listen to Toby Keith's concerts. He (Tommy)loved Toby and the band. His (Tommy) eyes mostly was always on the steel guitar player Josh. He loved that instrument. Just a little note of truth. Over 40 something years he has be so kind to me and my family. Again,RIP Mr.Lasorda. We all love you my friend. His wife Jo is in hand of assistant from the Dodgers Family. Thank you Floyd for your respond to me here.

I grew up in Birmingham, Ala. and my dad had season tickets for the Birmingham Barons. When they played, we were there. My dad explained all the strategy and I grew to love the game. I thought the Dodgers and Yankees were tops even though the Barons were the farm team of the Red Sox. When I met Tommy LaSorta, I was meeting someone I felt was the best ever.

Tommy had ties to Baton Rouge.
Every year around this time he would a baseball clinic for all of the kids in the area. A man who believed into giving back.
