what a shock. I didn't know Bucky personally but he had recently accepted my friend request on facebook and he was an avid poster.

I'm told he suffered a stroke and a heart attack... how very sad and unexpected.

condolences to his family and friends. I really loved his playing... glad I was able to tell him so.

I’m shocked , I was just looking at a concert poster I had Bucky sign when he was with Steve Forbert at the Village underground in NYC.

His son is really making a big impact in music.

This is so sad, loved his playing!
Regards, Craig

I cried because I had no shoes, then I met a man who had no feet.

Damn... Long, long, complicated history with Bucky, going back 45 years or so, with a lot of interesting stories.

I'm in shock; there's been way too much bad news in the past few months already.

Hope it was quick and painless. RIP my old friend...

Sorry to hear. We were on an album together recorded in the early 90s (Steven Keene "No Alternative")and he recently accepted my Facebook request, too. He will be missed.
A couple D-10s,some vintage guitars & amps, & lotsa junk in the gig bag.

Quite a loss, I pray for his family. A few years ago I also discovered his son Rayland, who is quite a talented singer/songwriter himself. RIP.

Here's Bucky with Bob Dylan, from a David Letterman Late Show in 1993. He toured with Dylan for most of the '90s.
