RIP Bruce Algera

Post by Bill Alexander »

Bruce was the 1st steel player i ever had in a band. 45 years ago. We only spent a short time together but i knew then he would always be one of those special friends that you only have a few of in your lifetime. He was a wonderful person. Also the reason i still have a steel guitar set up in my home. Thank you Bruce

I rarely post here anymore, but Bruce impressed me with a conversation on a piece he played, "Old Rugged Cross" with a light and airy presentation that still hit home. We had talked about getting it tabbed but things happened and we didn't talk much afterwards.

Thank you Bruce and rest in peace, you will be missed.

Gosh, I just read this post. I had the pleasure of getting to know Bruce about two years ago when he sent me his wonderful '67 Emmons D-10 to me for some revisions and setup work. I truly enjoyed talking and corresponding with him before, during and after working on his guitar.

I just wanted send out my deepest condolences to his close friends and family. May he rest in peace.
Best regards,
Lynn Stafford
