Garland Harris

Post by Dan Rollans »

One of the finest, if not the finest steel guitarist in the state of Arkansas, Garland Harris, passed away Saturday, January 18, 2020 after a battle with cancer. Garland was well known and respect for his smooth and very tasteful approach to playing steel. He worked with many great artist throughout Arkansas and beyond. He performed live weekly and worked recording sessions as well. Garland was a member of the Central Arkansas Steel Guitar Association. He was also a very accomplished guitar player also.
Garland was a great family man and dear friend. He will truly be missed by all.
Rest In Peace my friend.

Oh my, I just saw this and the one about Dean Baxter, I’m in total shock and greatly saddened at the loss of these two great friends.
