I got a request for Ricky Davis' smokin' hot break on Dale Watson's "Nashville Rash". It's from Dale's "Live in London England" CD. I sent this to Ricky D before posting and got a thumbs up
Thanks Joe on the Impressive remark and OH MAN I know what you mean on the frustration part. I haven't played(of course) that stuff with Dale in 15 years at least..and just tried to play it and NOPE not even close...ha....That pattern on the 16th fret...really has to start with figuring out the fingering best for you on the quad/type 1;2;3;4...and then do that pattern slow; over and over again...at slow metro..then medium..and then you just get the right momentum going and you can increase...as your hand get used to the pattern and not bind up the pattern...ha...
Good luck...."I currently CAN'T play it"....ha.....but I will...cause now its a new goal(my traumatic brain injury 4 1/2 years ago; really detoured my coordination; but slowly still getting better.)
Ricky
Thanks James; and speaking of "Wow"...that's what I said, when my long time Mentor and Great Friend Lloyd Green emailed me and Said this:
"Damn Ricky!
I don’t know that I had ever heard the live recording of you and Dale Watson with the song, “Help Me Merle”.
That is some absolutely cool E9th playing.
Dale and you should still be together. You were on fire, man.
Nobody could have done that better. Perhaps nobody could have played it as good as you did!
Really impressive my friend.
Love ya,
Lloyd"
