Paul Honeycutt - RIP

Post by Richard Sinkler »

Just found out that one of my lifelong best friends passed away yesterday (Wednesday)Paul Michael Honeycutt lost his battle with Leukemia. He was a high school buddy and fellow musician. In high school, I played drums in bands with him. Later in high school, when I switched to playing the pedal steel guitar, he and I played in bands and had a good run doing a duet. I will always cherish my friendship with Paul. Rest in peace "Pablo". May the "Mago" always be with with you in your future journeys. I will miss you.

Paul was a non-pedal steel guitar player, and was active in the non-pedal section of the forum. His primary instrument was guitar.
Carter D10 8p/7k, Dekley S10 3p/4k C6 setup, Regal RD40 Dobro, Recording King Professional Dobro, NV400, NV112, Ibanez Gio guitar, Epiphone SG Special (open G slide and regular G tuning guitar) .

Playing for 55 years and still counting.

I was looking forward to spending time with him this week at the HSGA in Fort Collins. I’m very saddened by his passing. RIP Paul... He was a gentle soul.

Just horrible. So sorry for your loss Richard. I was pals with him on another forum and he was a great dude. Spirits always high, never complained, inspiring. He will be sorely missed. We all loved him. Damn.

Truly unfortunate. Very sorry for your loss. Like Ed, I often spoke with him on another forum. A sad day, indeed.
