Alan Akaka’s father,- :Daniel Akaka,- passed away this AM. He was 93 years old.

I am sorry to see that senator Daniel Akaka has passed away. I had the chance to meet him at Jerry Byrd's first Ho'olaulea and always thought of him as a fair and thoughtful senator.
Alan, I wish you well during this mourning period and I hope your quest to get a Cracker Barrel on Oahu has been met with success :0).
