From the picture I saw, the new Sierra is the same in name but not the same design as the older Sierra guitars.
Big list, Nick.

I didn't know Lamar Colvin had stopped building. I just googled him and couldn't find his website...I know it was up a few months ago.
He made some fine steels that's for sure! Also as nice a guy as one could hope to meet.

I didn't see Bigsby on the "never again" list, and Mosrite built one or two as well that would certainly qualify them for the list.
Oh yeah, and add Cougar as well, built by Freeman Cowger best known for his crappy Market Rite guitars, but his Cougar pedal steels were of much better quality, and from what i know of them were ok for a lower priced pedal steel... bob

I have a Cougar that was built by Freeman Cowger who passed away early 2000s.
I believe Lamar Colvin is still building Lamar in limited production.

Add Anapeg to the list. Noel Anstead has retired and no-one took over the business.
The steel guitar is a hard mistress. She will obsess you, bemuse and bewitch you. She will dash your hopes on what seems to be whim, only to tease you into renewing the relationship once more so she can do it to you all over again...and yet, if you somehow manage to touch her in that certain magic way, she will yield up a sound which has so much soul, raw emotion and heartfelt depth to it that she will pierce you to the very core of your being.

Cool post Nick! Your list is pretty thorough, I would start to think of one you might have missed and then check the list, and lo and behold, there it was.
