My wife, Jan Palmer has passed away.

Post by Tom Palmer »

My wife, Jan Palmer, passed away this morning after a five year battle with Alzheimer's. She went peacefully with my daughter and me at her side. The disease takes its toll on the patient and everyone around them. While it was difficult, I am grateful for the time I spent as her caregiver.

I appreciate all of the support that I have received from members of this forum who knew what I was going through and were so patient and kind. Thanks to all of you for your caring and support.

I look forward to attending some steel shows in the fall and next year.

Tom, I know the passing of your wife must be bittersweet but hope the bitter part dissipates more quickly. Stay strong.

I have 6 of your fine D2F covers and i'll bet a number of these passed through your wife's hands. steve t

Tom, I extend my heart and deepest condolences to you, your daughter, and other family and friends. All caregivers are special; but I believe caregivers to Alzheimer patients are in a league of their own. May God bless you always.
May Jan now rest in peace....

Son, we live in a world with walls, and those walls have to be guarded by men with steel guitars. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Lt. Weinberg?

Tom, I really hate to hear this and my thoughts and prayers go out to you. I remember our last conversation. Maybe she'll meet my Sharon in heaven and like Sharon she is relieved of all pain and suffering. We're the ones hurting now but think positive knowing she's in good hands now.
Keep pickin', Larry
