Buddy Emmons is the reason I for one play this great instrument.
Here's a pic I took of him sitting on one of my steelseat.com seats at scotty's.
I told him to act like he was driving a car and the caption would read "Buddy Emmons test drives steelseat.com seat at scotty's".
RIP Buddy, and thanks for everything :)

There are no words I could write about the man that haven't already been written a thousand times. The world is less bright with his passing. My thoughts and prayers with his family and friends, this will be a hard one to get over, if ever.

Real sad. I met and talked with him in Edmonton in 1987. when he came up there for a show . This was just for steelers. GREAT MAN.

So sorry to hear. Terrible loss to the world and the music community, not to mention the PSG community.

I'm reading all of these post on the different threads here and on Facebook. I'm kind of in a daze. I'm having a rough time processing this. RIP to the master.

This is such sad news! I remember the first time I saw Buddy play up close and personal as a young man. He inspired me so much that day with his playing. He started a fire that hasn't gone out. The last of my steelguitar heros are gone. RIP Big E

I don't have the right words to say, other than my heart goes out to the family and to the Steel Guitar World of followers and fans. God bless you Buddy. What an inspiration. Thank goodness we have a body of work to cherish, and memories that will be everlasting in our hearts.
