RIP Dale Nugent

The Eastern Townships pedal steel community lost a valued member this week, as Dale Nugent passed away. Dale was as kind as anyone you'll ever meet, and played some great steel. I always enjoyed sharing the stage with him, as we would switch places and he would let me play his steel. We would share tips and licks and it was just great to hang with him and listen to him play. I'm not sure he is a Forum member, but I know he was actively following the discussions. He will be missed.

Dale Nugent passed away peacefully Thursday, May 28, 2015, at the Thetford Mines Hospital after a lengthy battle with cancer.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 5th. from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Salon J. A. Savoie & Fils Ltée, 1086 Notre-Dame est, Thetford Mines; the funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 6th. at 10:30 a.m. at the Kinnear’s Mills United Church.

In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in Dale’s name to either:
