What software for making cd covers, etc ?

Post by Larry Lenhart »

I was wondering what software you guys would recommend to print off cd covers, album tracks, etc. I have a Tascam portastudio and use itunes to burn my cds, but would like to make some nice looking covers where I can use my own pictures and create a narrative and album tracks. I am interested in purchased ones as well as on online freebees you might recommend. Thanks in advance !

I've used this one for years:

http://www.surething.com/

I highly recommend it.

My 2 cents, YMMV.

I use Discus, too. For both printing on ink jet printable discs and for Jewel Case inserts.

Much better and versatile than others.

Jack, with all due respect, I've tried the Discus demo version and find it much more archaic to use than Surething, but all this in the eye of the beholder. I'll stick with Surething.

My 2 cents, YMMV.

I use SERIF PAGEPLUS

There is a free to try version, and you can upgrade if you like it. I have been a user since version 1 and they are now on version 18.

They have ready to use templates included

I have Shure Thing V5, as it came with my Primera Bravo SE disc printer. For my uses it doesn't match up to Discus.

I've had earlier version of Shure Thing and migrated away from them.
