My Mom......Nellie King

Post by Larry King »

It is with great sorrow yet great joy that I announce the graduation of my mother , Nellie King , to her Heavenly home . She was an awesome woman of God who never quit praying for me until I straightened my sorry self out . On Mon Oct 13 she turned 97 and on Tues the 14th she was carried to paradise in the arms of Jesus. She passed peacefully without pain nor struggle....simply went to sleep and woke up in Heaven. If I could say one more thing to my mother , it would be a song "Look For Me , For I Will Be There Too". She made some friends in the steel community and loved you all . Don't be sorry for her.....jealous maybe....for she served the Lord 70 + years with this day as her goal .

Thank you
Larry King

Sorry to hear of your mother's passing, Larry. I know you're comforted with the knowledge that she now rests in eternal peace and will never ever suffer. Now it's up to you to live on with that same peace. Godspeed, I offered up a prayer for you and yours. Rick

Larry, please accept our most profound sympathies for you and your family! I still remember Ms. King and her quick wit and smile. Yes, she was truely a Godly woman and faithful servant of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Sorry for your loss Larry. I lost my Mom a little over a year ago and I sure miss our Sunday afternoon phone conversations. We know it's coming, but we're never ready. Both of our Mom's are in a much better place.

Sympathy to you Larry. Mine graduated at age 59 in 1990. Not one day goes by that don't I miss her. She was the best piano player that I and many others had ever heard.

Larry, I always enjoyed my visits with Nellie and taking her to get her hair fixed at Sue's. She thought I always brought her the best pop corn because it was popped in a corn popper instead of in the microwave. It's a great feeling knowing you don't have to worry about where she is as her home is eternal and we will see her again.
