Richard, check out this video. Paul explains in detail how he did the solo with the bar-slant technique, beginning at about 10:40.

Richard, my take is strings 5 & 8 throughout with a bottom bar forward slant at fret 13. I could be wrong...oh well

Stephen , yes I'm aware of that video . Gary yes its one of those alright but I think he's raising the 8th string as well so that it sounds the F note in the G7 chord . Now I know what it is roughly I'll mess around with it till I get something that sounds like music . Amazing playing from Paul as usual . Most of his licks are pretty straight forward but the way he plays them makes them sound magic . Thanks for your help everyone .

Yes, but open to interpretation, pending who you are chatting with.pretty straight forward
I studied with Charleton for a few years which doesn't mean I play worth a poop, but, I was privy to many conversations. During one lesson, Buddy had received a call from Jeff Newman, a conversation Buddy wanted to share with me. Jeff wanted Buddy to include bar slant technique with students that were deemed to appreciate advantages of this practice. Buddy talked about folks saying, "why use a bar slant when you can use a knee lever." Buddy demonstrated for over an hour....I was sold...
