Leo, thanks for the info on Ray. He and I were pretty tight in the old days as we were both Orange County residents. I used to go up to his service station a bunch during the day and we'd sit around and jam a bit. Ray was a very tasty guitarist who liked the pop and swing sound more that the straight country stuff like most of us played. Do you remember his brother Herschel? Hershel was a very nice person also and died of complications from severe kidney problems.... RIP Ray.....JH in Va.
Don't matter who's in Austin (or anywhere else) Ralph Mooney is still the king!!!

Yes I remember Herschel. Same as the late Herschel Wit that I picked with with the late Don Richie at the Holiday two night club in El Monte,Calif. It's sad to know and to hear of how many good friend musicians that are gone. Stay well & take care of yourself Jerry. Uncle Leo J Eiffert Jr & the Pigeons - Facebook!
