Rock and Roll Hoochie Koo

If you hate Rock music, run!
Great tune by Johnny Winter, my version based on Rick Derringer's version.
All lap steel tracks played on my Clinesmith D-10 non-pedal.

Awe yeah, baby!
Loved it! The ghost solo behind the main lead reminded me of the Beatles "Let It Be".
I was grooving in place as I listened.

Attaboy Mike! For those who believe that the steel guitar is a "country" instrument...I emplore you to reconsider your position after listening to this.

Totally Bad To The Bone!!!!!!!
Loved hearing that great tone on the solo!
I always thought that RD's guitar sounded a little too brittle on the original record.

I do, too. I had Rick's 45rpm of the tune and it always sounded like it was flanged by tape manipulation to me, and that it was squeezed by a limiter, but was a clean guitar sound by today's standards.

Then I heard Johnny Winter's original version--I think that is what my tone is a little closer to.

I was surprised to see this thread pop up again--thanks for listening!
