I worked with Lola Jean and L.E.in the studio a time or two and live a time or two,so I was familiar with the song...never heard this cut,but Jim has been a hero of mine since my first night in Nashville, when I happened into a club in Printer's Alley and heard him and his great band backing Johnny Paycheck...WOW!Rick Campbell wrote:Yes Steve I agree with Steve. Lola Jean and L.E. White, with the great Jim Vest. Another good cut from that record is "when the tingle becomes a chill" I think Jim does sound a lot like John Hughey, or maybe it's the other way around.
He's a real soulful player like John Hughey...

Steve - I would like to have been there that night also. But, you know , you also have people getting pretty excited when they hear you play...... especially me!Steve Hinson wrote:I worked with Lola Jean and L.E.in the studio a time or two and live a time or two,so I was familiar with the song...never heard this cut,but Jim has been a hero of mine since my first night in Nashville, when I happened into a club in Printer's Alley and heard him and his great band backing Johnny Paycheck...WOW!Rick Campbell wrote:Yes Steve I agree with Steve. I got to know L.E. and Lola Jean when they used to come to Knoxville a lot. It was always interesting to me that country music came so natural for them.
