Ivan "Wayne" Smith, TSGA's friend and longtime supporter

We lost a very good friend last night. Wayne Smith of Dallas served as the Sales officer for the Texas Steel Guitar Association for many years. He worked very hard in promoting the TSGA, the resonator guitar, and the steel guitar. We will miss his friendship, sales knowledge, and support. Our prayers go out to his wife, Peggy, and family.

I'm going to miss my picking buddy, but I'm glad he's no longer suffering. I can stil hear him from heaven saying, "You been practicing girl?" He was so much fun to be around.
I'm so glad I have that last very happy, and fun memory of the two of us playing the TSGA meeting. It meant so much to him to do that, and now to me too. Thanks Albert. we're all going to really miss him.

Our friend, Ivan Wayne Smith, will be remembered at 1pm on Monday, December 30 at the First Christian Church, 115 S. Glenbrook, Garland, TX.
