I've been wanting to try and learn this for a while. Disclaimer: like I say in the video, this is not note for note how Paul plays this but hopefully in the ballpark. I love how he uses a theme to create a solo. Wonderful work Paul! I hope this may help some of you. Have fun! Thanks for watching and listening.

You're a very gifted player. Excellent work with both your right and left hands. Refreshing to see such a gifted player teach for free. You might want to consider doing a video on Franklin's right hand technique. You got very close here. Excellent Franklin tone as well.
Enjoyed your clip. Hope to hear more in the future.

My thoughts exactly.

I will add. In the right hands. It's hard to beat an old Carter when searching for most any tone. Be it Emmons or Franklin.

And then there's all the money you saved.

Gentlemen, thanks so much for the nice comments! You better stop, you're making my head swell! Bobby Boggs, I've seen videos of you picking. Coming from you, that's quite a compliment. You are a great player. John Lacey, I remember we jammed together out west years ago. I also remember getting my butt kicked. Peewee, it is such a treat when I get to hear you pick and we get to visit. I think you are playing better than ever and it's always an inspiration for me to watch and hear you play. Thanks David and Daniel! David, I agree with you. Paul plays cool lines to create a melody. I really dig the chromatic, knee lever movement used throughout the solo. David, I really enjoy your playing. Your videos are on regular rotation!

Bob, Asa, and Brian, I appreciate your comments. Most of you on here know what a monster player Bob Taillefer is. He is taking the C6th to new levels and his passion for the instrument is unmatched. Bob, we live too far from each other. I miss seeing and hearing you pick. Brian, I think all of us sharing will help keep this instrument alive. And being inspired helps keep the fire burning. Dale, I've only recently become aware of you, but so glad that I did...I think the first I heard of you, you were playing Mansion on a Hill on a BenRom I believe, and I was blown away.

Where have you been? Have not seen you on the forum or YouTube before. Or have I just missed you?

From one Carter Player to Another, your steel sounds great. What were you playing through?

I play mine straight into a Nashville 112 and only use the internal reverb.
