Yahoo email page changed
I must have clicked update for the look to have changed. On the old page, when I typed the first letter in the address box, it knew the address from my contacts and filled in. Now it doesn't. The center is filled with spam ads. Also, when I used to reply to a craigslist ad, I would hit Yahoo and the page was ready for my message. Now it's blank needing the address and subject. I don't see anything on Yahoo to go back. If I restore the computer to say yesterday, will the original Yahoo email return?
thanks, Ron

Yahoo rolled out this update some time ago and gave users the option to go for it, but now it's mandatory. I don't think you can go back, and certainly not on your computer.

jolynyk, they told me in an email, that they changed yahoo mail to work better with the new iphones, i pads etc. They have new apps that can be downloaded now to work with yahoo mail. It's all about money of course, yours. Incidently, (learned that word here on the forum) they not only force you to do the upgrade, they also prefer you to upgrade your browser from internet explorer to Firefox or safari

George you are 100% right, it's the almighty buck..
I still prefer Yahoo Classic over the one they put me on now. And I phones, Ipads & Apps don't mean anything to me, don't have them, & so far don't need them.. Yahoo Classic worked real good, & being from the old school, I still go by, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it", But this new bunch go by "fix it till it is broke"

Change is inevitable in the computer industry. Been that way since I've been in computers - and I've worked in computers since before PC's ("BPC").
I even went to a one week "Managing Change" seminar when I was working about coping with change in computers and processes and helping employees to cope with it (I was a Network and Help Desk Manager).

The Yahoo change really does suck. I'm glad my main email is through gmail. Still trying to dump my Yahoo email, but for some reason, some of my family and friends didn't understand me when I told them (a year or so ago) that my Yahoo account got spoofed and I was dumping it and to use my new address and delete the Yahoo address. They did for a while, and then their emails started coming to the Yahoo address again.

When I had Yahoo Classic I got some Spam, but now it's atrocious... Yahoo's answer when I wrote, "Put them on a block lis".. These spammers purposely misspell words in the heading & almost impossible to block all. Sure don't understand what changed at/with Yahoo to get all the Spams all of a sudden, Changing passwords didn't help. I also have Gmail, & get virtually NO Spams. So you may ask why do I keep Yahoo?? Because I have my Yahoo address linked to everything & there are lots. Ebay, Paypal, all the Forums I belong to, etc., etc. But one day I will convert..
Incidentally I don't mind change & in a lot of cases welcome it, but only if it's for the better.. Again if it ain't broke, why fix it??
On the other hand, Yahoo is a free service, so what else can we expect??

My Yahoo account averages maybe 25 to 50 spams EVERY day. My gmail account, maybe one a month. I went through a 2 -3 week period where I was getting MANY "returned as undeliverable" emails that I never sent in the first place. There were over 800 by the time they stopped. And, they were all "sent" to hotmail accounts.
