Great article! Great pedal steel guitars!

(I played my first Fessenden when I was taking lessons from Bob and I'm now a proud Fessenden owner/player)

Cool. I just happen to have 'rediscovered' my Fessenden and it's like having a new guitar. I'm digging it a lot.

Hello Bob,
Thanks for posting, I enjoyed the article.
Jerry really knows what will work and what won't when it comes to building steel guitars. All his guitars have really good tone.
Love my Fessy,
Danny

It was nice to also see Jim Smith's name mentioned in this nice article. Jim is a great guy and great player right here around Dallas. If you need a steel worked on in the future, you might give Jim Smith a call. I have used him several times on my push pull, a sho Bud and an MSA. He knows what he's doing. If you need a steel player, you might give him a shout too.

congratulations Jerry on getting some recognition.

I just got a 2006 D10 that literally has never been played as a pedal steel, simply as a lap guitar. It has a distinct tone . Great craftsmanship and plays beautifully. Can't wait to shake the hand of the man that made it.

The article confirms what I have suspected all along. He really is David Crosby's twin brother.

Danny, and you sir, are the best player that Jerry could get to promote his fine guitars.
The story was a winner and a great insight to what makes builders tick. My respect and admiration for Jerry was increased ten-fold.

I would love to read more of these human interest stories. They are so encouraging!

Jerry is a person I am honored to have as a friend.
He builds a great quality guitar, at a very modest price. Jerry has shared a lot of his knowledge with me and I owe him a world of thanks.
Thanks Jerry,
Tom

Thanks Mark. :) I taught Jerry everything I know and he still doesn't know much. Just kidding! ;) Jerry is one of my best (and oldest) friends and a very talented guy for sure.

I switched over to Jerry's guitars in 1998 and it will be my choice forever. He is not only a great builder, but a great friend, recording buddy, ironing board master, and Mexican food lover....it is a pleasure knowing him...
