I recall a record she made that had Jerry Byrd, first member of the Steel Guitar Hall Of Fame, featured on it and titled How Much Is That Doggie In The Window. I have always wished he would have been on Tennessee Waltz as well but you don't always get what you wish for. RIP Ms Page !!

More than just a singer..................

Patti Page recorded some great duets with Rex Allen, Sr. She did "Detour" with JERRY BYRD, and also "I Want to be A Cowboy Sweetheart". With Rex, as I recall, "Broken Down Merry Go Round",
Tag Along" and others.

She and Mary Ford (Les Paul's wife) did some of the best voice over harmonies with their own voice of any
singer of the day.

I too was sadden that she passed. Roy, Pee Wee & the Golden West Cowboys played with her one night. I can't remember where but of coarse it was because of Tennessee Waltz.

On the billboard outside they put Pee & his band on the top and her's underneath. She raised "cane" and they changed it around. I remember Roy telling me this story.

Tennessee Waltz was really a big hit for her and I loved her singing.

I just thought you might like to hear the story.
