Dear oh dear - found a live vid of me - SleazeFest '97

Post by Bill Ladd »

My most favoritest band I ever played in at the innagural "SleazeFest" in Chapel Hill NC 1997.

Decidedly low-fi recording and mix. I'd only had my non-pedal for a few months (My intonation has gotten a lot better since. I think :o )

My heroes back then were Lee Jeffries and Speedy - the only two non-pedal players I'd ever heard up to that point. I really had no idea what I was doing, just learning on the fly, throwing different things in there on the bandstand; desperately hanging on and trying to play in tune!

We just played a fifteen year reunion here in town and amongst the hubub someone dug up this gem on the innerweb.

Hope y'all enjoy... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lyo5l2poXiI

It's kinda embarrassing that I was doing that leg work for James, combing the forum for Wilmington steel players and being a go-between for you & him, having no idea of your history. Duh.
Cool vid.
So--how was the parking?

Don't be embarrassed, not your fault. (I wrote something here but decided to PM it instead)

Funny that he mentioned parking in Manhattan, 'cause parking in downtown Wilmington is the absolute worst nowadays. Fifteen bucks to park in the load-in area at the venue!!
