Someone to Watch Over Me
This is another standard written by the Gershwins.
I have included the opening verse, which is so often overlooked.
Hope you enjoy it.

That's some of the sweetest sounding C6th I've ever heard. Great work, Sez - thank you!
And yes: that verse section is so often forsaken in favour of the bit we all know; I love all of the tune!

Thank you all for your very nice comments.
I appreciate them very much.
There were a couple of questions.
I am plugging straight into an applemac laptop (equipped with Logic software) via a sound card. My feeling is any decent sound card into any computer equipped with appropriate recording software will do a good job. Eg; Applemac with Logic software, or Garage Band; windows with Protools or Cubase. There are other software platforms that I am not aware of.
I use the built-in software to bring down the treble on the top strings. And I add a little chorus & delay. If anybody wants more detail on this, please pm me, and I will be happy to oblige. I use the parallel output on the volume pedal to take a second lead out to a little amp for monitoring purposes. I hardly use the volume pedal at all on C6th. For my ears, I don't think it has much relevance for the kinds of arrangements that I am playing.
Jim asked about the arrangements. I seem to have ended up with a non-standard pedal/ knee lever set-up. This through long hours of experimentation, and trial & error. My arrangements are all worked out with this in mind, and are not readily transferable to different set-ups. I have it on an excel spreadsheet, but don't seem to be able to post it on the forum. I am a bit of a techno-dinosauer. If anybody wants to volunteer to put it on the forum, I'll happily send you the spreadsheet.
Jim, I'll send you a couple of arrangements, and you can try them out on your set-up if you like. You can let me know how you go with adapting them to your own set-up.
I have a question. What is 'Red Solo Cup'? I am curious.
Many thanks to you all.

Sez, red solo cups are inexpensive, disposable vessels, not used for a good single malt, but for fountain soda. I would say E B paid you a very high compliment.

Sez, "Red Solo Cup" is an annoying 'top 40' country song by Toby Keith that makes most musicians get up and change the channel. When Earnest said "I bet Sez could make Red Solo Cup sound good"... he was saying that your playing is so fine you could make even that song sound good.I have a question. What is 'Red Solo Cup'? I am curious.
