Cool footage. Lindley's honkin' pretty good. When was this filmed? Some cool old guits in the background...looks like maybe a Teisco and the white one is an Airline...or National?

At a gig I did Saturday night, the members of the band were trying to figure out who did this song first after I mentioned hearing the song on the drive up to the gig on the radio by David Lindley. The first anyone could remember was Steve Miller. I never knew that Lindley sang.

That K.C. Douglas original is great. Never heard of him before.
It is David Lindley on "Stay" from Jackson Browne's live album, with that scratchy falsetto voice.

I like the original the best. Never really liked the minor chord, that they put in the later versions.

I was lucky enough to see David Lindley several times back in the El Rayo X days. His band was amazing especially when he had the crazy percussionist Baboo banging on metal cans and other misc. items. At one concert, Jackson Browne joined him onstage and sang and played baritone guitar. I've also seen Lindley solo plating Weissenborn and singing, and also in duo and trio settings. I also got to hang out with him at a world music festival where I performed with a bluegrass band. Good times.
