That's Terry Christofferson (not sure of spelling) playing with Buck. I remember him getting one of his first steels at Blackie Taylor's music store in Hawaiian Gardens, Ca. in the sixties. He used to play clubs in SoCal, most notably the Branding Iron in San Bernadino. That definately was a Steinberger guitar he was playing. He used that when he played steel and lead together as it didn't take up much room behind the steel and he could go from one instrument to the next which he does quite well as he'll use the same picks for both. When he plays guitar only he uses a flatpick. From what I remember of him in the old days, he was one helluva good lead guitar picker and does the Mooney thing on steel quite well........JH in Va.
Don't matter who's in Austin (or anywhere else) Ralph Mooney is still the king!!!
