Ultimate 4/4 Rhythm Tracks Collection

Post by Mike Headrick »

I don't know where else to put this, but I guess the moderator will move it if it needs moved.

I'm in the process of recording rhythm tracks for the most popular 4/4 songs, classic or of more recent date. They'll have twin fiddle intros & turnarounds, or guitar / twin guitar, etc. In other words, first class tracks.

I'd appreciate your input as to what you would like to see available in high quality rhythm tracks. What I need is specific names of songs. This is not a committment to buy, just a request for input. I'm sure there are many I'm forgetting. Reply to this if you wish, or send me an email or private message.

If you're not logged in, my email address is steelfodder@aol.com

Thanks,

Mike H

I'm always a sucker for Ray Price stuff! Vince Gill songs are always steel friendly and have great melodies. Some classic Southern Gospel tracks would work for me as well. George Jone, George Strait, Waylon & Willie, you have a wealth of possibilities. And, based on everything I've heard you produce, they will be first class.

Mike,

I'd like to see a couple Faron Young songs on the tracks CD. Maybe, "Leavin' And Sayin' Goodbye" and "Face To The Wall".

Looking forward to the release!

I prefer old, hapa haole Hawaiian standards at moderate swing tempos. Like Beyond The Reef, Little Brown Gal, Blue Hawaii etc. Thanks, Don

I have a few, Johnny Russell's Aint You Even Gonna Cry, Keith Whitley's Don't Close Your Eyes, Dallas Frazier's Beneath Still Waters, and a gospel song by Phil Johnson called, The Day He Wore My Crown.
