Deep in the Heart of Texas/Apartment Number 9

Post by Susan Alcorn (deceased) »

For those of you who may be interested, here is another recording from my residency last month at the Issue Project Room in Brooklyn, NY. This one, a medley, is a different take on two of my favorite tunes - Deep in the Heart of Texas and Apartment Number 9:

The musicians are:

Beverly Keys - vocals
Skuli Sverrisson - bass
Ryan Sawyer - drums
C Spencer Yeh - violin
Patrick Holmes - clarinet
Yours Truly - pedal steel guitar

I like it, although, or maybe because it's a little spooky.

I like it! "Genre: well...."

I just received a Gristleizer which does all sorts of weird things for any instrument or mic you hook it up to. The steel has a great sound/tone/ring to it. Very nice.
