Guitar Summit Jam Clips

Post by Travis Toy »

Hey guys and gals. Thought you might like a few clips that were recorded last weekend at an event in Durham, NC called Guitar Summit. It's a gathering of great R&B, Blues, and Bop players from around the country, and it's hosted by my buddy Kevin Wilson who plays with Stevie Wonder. Anyway, Kevin asked me to bring my steel and hang out. I wound up in a spur of the moment jam with Andy Wood (if you don't know who he is, Google him. Scary.) and got a few video clips of it. No rehearsing or knowing what we were doing and it shows at times. Haha!

Travis, that was beyond great. You are a monster picker and what an arsenal of musical knowledge and feeling you put into your performance. I haven't enjoyed seeing someone's talent this much since the first time I witnessed David Hartley's first gripping E9th masterpieces. I hope to see you in a live performance in St Louis someday. That would make my whole trip worthwhile.

Hey guys, I was at this event, it was the first time I had meet Travis. This guy can play, he amazed a lot of r&b players and made the steel guitar proud. Thanks Travis, it was a great representation of our instrument.
