Paul Franklin / Dawn Sears song

Post by Marcel Parijs »

Hello,

Try to do some Paul Franklin solo/licks rehearsal for my record session in England next week. It´s a beautiful song singing by Dawn Sears. I hope I can do some own things in this song. :)

Thanks everyone for comments on YouTube.

Paul, if you read this. Thanks for the great licks and solo on this song. It´s one of my favourites.

Good job Marcel. I've been planning on working up some of Paul's licks from the Time Jumpers youtubes.

Marcel, you did a great job on this, here is my attempt. I cant get over how Paul uses his bar in unison with his volume pedal and pedal expression. It flows like water!

How is Dawn Sears not a superstar? A consistently great vocalist.

Thank you Quentin,

Great job your doing.
It´s a tricky solo on this one. However Paul don´t use his B- lower 1/2 step I´ll think in the solo. But I love to play this one. This song is so dynamic with the vocals and the steel. If I can help you with some licks on this one it´s not a problem.

Keep on making the good work,

Regards,
Marcel

Yeah I know what you mean. The intro sounds like he is on strings 4 and 5 using the B pedal and D lever lick, and toward the end lowering string 5 half tone and than back to the B pedal and D lever for the end on the intro. I learned it the wrong way and posted the tab to the intro on the tab section here, than learned it the right way. I guess I should go back and change that.
