Default seach engine change.

I prefer Google Chrome as my default browser, but have had to switch to the much slower Firefox due to my Yahoo email contact list disappearing when I use Chrome. Firefox, Opera, Safari, and (God forbid) Internet Exploder don't have the problem.

Since I also prefer the Google search engine, and really dislike Bing and Ask (which is what Firefox is using),I want to know if there is a way to replace Ask in Firefox with Google as the default search engine. I know I can just pull up Google.com and use it from there, but that is extra steps I would like to eliminate.

You can choose your search engines via the icons in the search bar, on the upper right side of your Firefox browser! It is usually inline with the address bar.

If the engine you want isn't listed in the flyout list, just mouse down to the bottom of the list, to: "Manage Search Engines." A page full of search engines will open and you can add as many as you like. Then select one from the icon button and use it as your main engine. You can move various items up and down the list, or remove unwanted engines.
