Newbie
Hey folks, I am trying to learn to play the pedal steel guitar. I have a GFI Ultra D10 and a Peavey Nashville 112. I have been watching you tube videos and looking at some tabs, but I need lots of help. Here is a sample of what I am doing. Any help is greatly appreciated, and thanks in advance.

Alan,
I don't know how long you have been playing, but for a "newbie" you are doing very well. Where you are living it ought to be easy to find a teacher...
Maybe somebody from your area will offer to take you on as a student, or point you in the direction of some teachers.
Keep on practicing, and try to learn something new each time you play.

First off, that was nice. So, what kind of help do you need? It looks as though you have a fairly good grasp of things. The rest is just practice.

Looks like you doing great Alan. I practiced alot of different scales at first and studied the Jeff Newman books. They helped alot. Basically the more time you put into playing, the more reward it will bring you. If you are a music teacher and guitar player than you have an advantage as far as theory goes. Keep upi the good work.

Thanks
Thanks to everyone for you comments. I am blessed to have some very fine players within not too many miles. I do need to call up Mike Sweeney, we played together in a couple bands back in the early '80's.
Thanks again !
