Image :) :) :)

The group's members included Chet Atkins, Boots Randolph, Roy Clark, Floyd Cramer, Charlie McCoy, Danny Davis, Jethro Burns and Johnny Gimble. All members of the group except Clark, McCoy, and Gimble are now deceased

That doesn't ring a bell, Bob...I think it had something to do with Nashville but this growing old gig is about to choke me. I remember that group- from Hee Haw and it was the million dollar band. The record Walter has posted is from the earlier radio only era.
Jerry and Chet had also had a radio show weekday nights from WSM called Two Guitars in that time span.

Regrets, Paul :( :(

   Nope !!

Walter, we've got the players...could you give us the band name from that album before b0b sends us back to NOTHING in the Humor Forum !! :whoa:  :whoa:

That album had Come A Little Closer and Darkness On The Delta...first time I heard Jerry use the B11 tuning and I remember being blown away with the sounds ! Early '50s.

I think the Jerry Byrd crowd sold more of those records then the other musicians combined. The Jerry Byrd fan club was very active and I was part of that, sending out hundreds of post cards to radio stations requesting Jerry's music. Millie Annis would send us the addresses but I also used a stage name (... recalled decades later by Forum member Ray Montee..)Eddy Roan to send out twice as many requests. Those were my Good Ole Days.

Bob and Paul,

You had a nice conversation about this one :) and said everything that can be said. Still classic recordings with Jerry Byrd and all those great musicians!

Kind Regards, Walter
