bass lines in biab
Hello again every one
Slowly coming to grips with biab
Just wondering is it possible to get biab to vary the bass lines within a style, and if so how do I go about it?
where a lot of the song styles in midi sound very nice and fit a lot of songs, the bass lines generated seem to be very busy or dont really seem to fit...
What I have been doing is saving a project as a midi, bumping it over to cakewalk and changing the notes by hand.....very tedious.
I dont know how a bass line should be constructed as far as music theory goes, Im just chancing my arm as to what I think it should sound like.......so if biab was able to come up with something close it would be great.
Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated
Vincent

Hi Vincent, you can import bass lines from another style or make a hybrid style where you can change or alter the bass line yourself.
"Note: Bass patterns are usually recorded live from a MIDI keyboard. If you can't play in real time, or if you don't have a MIDI keyboard you can import patterns from other styles. You can also click on the note button to open the StyleMaker Pattern Editor and enter the notes with your mouse."
