Boogie at the Louisville Metro Steel Guitar Club April 2011

I want to thank everyone at the steel club for making my dad feel so loved this past Sunday. He decided he wanted to play his Green Darlin and even with the dementia, I think he did a pretty durn good job... considering he really hasn't played the "Darlin" for going on 2 years now.... I want to especially thank Chris Castle for letting dad set in on his segment and Glen Phillips for being dad's best buddy and helping him through the set... God bless you all for giving dad a home to enjoy his guitar even though he's not the same picker he used to be

He is already asking about when is the next time he gets to pick!

Glen told me that Boogie did a great job. Wish I had been there.

Donna, thanks for the update on Boogie. He played for us numerous times on the Lexington show. Great musician and great human being.. Sadly, time and tide waits for none of us. Give him my greetings. I now live in Spring field Missouri in the area where I grew up. Fred Layman

I will certainly tell mom and dad that you said Hello Mr. Fred... I remember you.... and dad always talked highly of you

God bless you and yours... this dementia thing with dad is so hurtful to watch but we just have to have faith that God knows what He's doing

Thanks Winston!!! wish you had been there too... he did really well considering his illness... we can never have the ole Boogie back but just seeing him on the stage made my heart sing :)God bless you and come see him sometime at the steel club... gonna try to get him there every month
