Stereo Question

Post by Alan Tanner »

Hello all. I have been tinkering with BIAB here for awhile, but cannot find the answer. I would like to know if it is possible to pan drums individually?? Example would be snare a couple of clicks left and cymbal a couple of clicks right of center. That sort of thing. Thanks for any help....

Hi Alan,

Tough in BIAB, but in Real Band or Power Tracks or any other DAW it's easy enough with midi drums.

Real Drums I don't see how.

With midi drums in Real Band, you can split the drum track into individual tracks, then control pan, volume reverb etc for each one.

With RealDrums, what I would try is to duplicate the RealDrum track so you have the same track twice. Then pan one left and one right and eq each one one with more bass for the kick and one higher eq for the snare etc. Just play around with it you'll see what I mean. You might even have three identical tracks keep one at the regular EQ, then one for kick and one for snare, center the regular track and pan the others to each extreme side. Could be fun.

I might be a beginner now, but someday I'm gonna steel the show.
