John Barry 7 were a very popular group in the 60's, the sound of James Bond was created by his guitarist Vick Flick, Flick performed the legendary Bond theme on what he refers to as a "big, blonde f-hole Clifford Essex Paragon Cello-Bodied guitar, fitted with a DeArmond Volume Pedal into a Vox 15-Watt Amplifier." Thanks to the efforts of Robert Rush of The Rip Chords, the guitar has now made its home in The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
I was fortunate to have Vic flick and Ike Isaacs play on all of my EMI albums.
Whilst John Barry's contribution to popular music is immeasurable, Vick's part of that was also substantial..
This is Vic, Ike Isaacs, Barry Morgan (Blue Mink) and myself.
