Steve Bishop has passed away recently

I announce with sadness and grief that Steve Bishop originally from Washington DC area and last address in Nashville, Tennesee has passed away. There will be a memorial service in Nashville on Feb 19th 2011 if anyone is interested in attending. Steve was a guitarist first and came to fall in love with the pedal steel guitar much like alot of us present company included. Steve spent some time here in Los Angeles where he worked at Voltage guitars on Gardner in Hollywood and later went on to Seattle Washington and worked at Guitar Villa as per his good friend Jim Croup, another guitarist. Steve is survived by his wife, Charlotte and two children. May his soul rest in peace and may God watch over his family.

I was out of town while the service was scheduled. I would have been there as Steve was a very kind person and deep musician.
