Bob lots of guys are running BIAB on a netbook, the main issue is storage is you are using the realtracks. They take up a huge amount of space.

I might be a beginner now, but someday I'm gonna steel the show.

Just want some basic drum patterns. The sound quality is dependent on the sound card in the NB?

thx

Just to be clear, I said *Netbook*, not *Notebook* :)

Bob,

I've helped people set BIAB up on a netbook, and I have it on one myself.

Use the Roland VSC DXi software synth that comes with BIAB and plug the output of the netbook into a decent set of powered speakers or a stereo system and you should be fine. (headphones will work too) Yes, it you want to use Real Track you'll need the storage space on the hard drive, or just buy the program from pg music already installed on a USB hard drive and you're ready to go. That's what I've got and the hard drive will fit in your shirt pocket.

So,will the roland software give better sound quality regardless of the (cheap) netbook sound card?

thx
