Chuck Snider's son's death
Donna,
I hate to write this but our forum members need to know that one of our members lost his son and he and his family will need our prayers for a while. I shall lift them up often.
I hope this might get around so that others could remember Chuck and his family during this time.
Thany you and I wish for God to bless all,
Ronald Smith

Ron, thank you very much for posting this notice. My son was in a small plane crash that occurred on Monday in Lock Haven, PA. Sad to say all three on board were killed. My son worked for the US Forestry Dept and they were on their way to New Jersey to perform arial analysis in forested areas to determine pest infestation and potential remedies. It was a devastating phone call to receive and I wish that on no one. They were apparently have mechanical problems and were attempting to land at Lock Haven, they were coming in about 200-300 yards short and tried to land on a street. They clipped a utility pole which spun the plane and it burst into flames the instant it hit the ground. I can only hope they were killed instantly. News photos of the burned wreckage were horrible to view. I feel fortunate that he called me early Sunday for Father's day and we talked longer than usual and had a nice visit. I'll miss him dearly.
Thank you to everyone on here.

My sincere condolences. Having grown up in the area I keep up with some of the news and I saw the story the other day, but had no idea that your son was aboard or that this tragedy would touch the steel guitar community. Please accept my sympathy toward you, your family and the families of your son's coworkers.
