No sound

Post by Bent Romnes »

I have no sound when I try to play a BIAB file. As a rule, I have the USB headset earphones enabled in the windows audio.

Just now I went to play a song in BIAB and nothing works. First I tried the earphones - nothing. Then I went into audio configuration in Windows and reset to speakers. Still nothing.

I looked in preferences in BAIB and can't seem to find anything related to choosing speakers/earphones.
What am I doing wrong??

By the way, BIAB IS playing the tune..the cursor is moving, but no sound...

I have sound in any other media

Sounds like you need to set your output drivers for midi and audio under preferences.

I might be a beginner now, but someday I'm gonna steel the show.

Bent, try double clickin on the little speaker icon near the time in the lower right hand corner to bring up the volume control and see if your wav volume is turned down.

Hey guys. sorry for not replying sooner. Andy, your suggestion worked. The "SW Synth" was down as far as it could go. Puzzling thing is, I am sure I have not touched it. Can it set itself somehow??

It's the ghost of the people that spend $hundreds on backing tracks done in the studio that does that. As people become more familiar with BIAB these tracks will beome a dying industry. Especially since with BIAB you can change tempo, key, arrangement, etc... with the click of a mouse. For the price of one good studio musician, you can have more tracks than you'll ever have time to play to, plus the ability to create a new one in less time than it would take to order a prerecorded track. Bad news for the backing track vendors, but don't blame me, I just live here.

Bent, if your playing a midi file and adjust the volume with the media player volume control it will stay where you adjusted it to.

Solved

I can hear the count off with sticks but no sound for the rest. I'm trying to listen to Spooky downloaded off Bennie's page in BIAB

Return to factory settings fixed this problem
