Here is a first for me..

Venue contacts the band through it's MySpace site. We just played there last Sat and was told to expect an early 2009 date. Now we get an Oct 2008 invite. A quick round of emails confirms availability.

I run back to MySpace and see the venue is "online"..I send acceptance and 10 seconds later booking is confirmed.

Nice thing about this venue is that they have embraced MySpace and encourage bands to format their e-marketing for submission as "comments". It works very, very well. We do bulletins and MySpace invites as well.

Our website is fairly conservative. MySpace, on the other hand, begs for interaction.
